Social Media Management for Brisbane & Australian Businesses

Strategy, content, scheduling and community management — done properly on the two platforms your customers actually use, rather than badly on five. We plan it, produce it, publish it and report on what it’s doing for the business.

Everyone Says You Need Social Media. Nobody Says What For.

So most businesses end up in the same loop. A burst of posting in January. Silence by March. A guilty flurry when someone mentions the page looks dead. Occasional posts that get eleven likes, nine of them from staff.

The problem usually isn’t effort. It’s that nobody defined what social media is meant to achieve for this particular business — so there’s no way to tell whether it’s working, and no basis for deciding what to post.

What social media actually does for a small business

For most of our clients, it does three things, and it’s worth being clear about which one matters to you:

  • Proof you’re real and active. This is the underrated one. A prospect who finds you through Google or a referral will check your social before they call. A page with recent, professional posts confirms you’re operating and competent. A page that stopped in 2023 raises a question you don’t want raised at that moment.
  • Staying in front of people who aren’t ready yet. Most people who need your service don’t need it today. Regular presence means you’re the name they remember when they do.
  • Direct enquiries. Real for some industries — hospitality, retail, beauty, events, trades with visual results. Less so for others. We’ll tell you honestly which category you’re in.

Notice that follower count isn’t on that list. Ten thousand followers who’ll never buy from you is a vanity number. Four hundred local followers who see your work weekly is a pipeline.

How We Run Your Social Media

1. Strategy first. Who are we talking to, what do they care about, which platforms are they actually on, and what should this achieve? We agree the objective and the measures before we produce a single post.

2. Platform selection — deliberately narrow. We’ll usually recommend two platforms. Doing two well beats doing five poorly every time, and the effort saved goes into better content.

  • Facebook — still the broadest reach in Australia, particularly for local services and audiences over 35. Facebook groups and local community pages are genuinely valuable for local businesses.
  • Instagram — visual businesses, younger demographics, anything where the work photographs well.
  • LinkedIn — B2B, professional services, recruitment, and building the personal profile of a founder or director.
  • TikTok — younger audiences and businesses willing to be less polished. High reward, high effort, not for everyone.

3. Monthly content plan. A calendar you approve before anything goes out. A mix of formats — your actual work, behind the scenes, customer stories, practical tips, team, promotions — so the feed doesn’t become an unbroken run of advertisements.

4. Content production. Graphics designed to your brand, captions written by our copywriting team, hashtag research where it applies, and video editing where you supply footage.

5. Scheduling and publishing. Everything scheduled and posted for you at the times your audience is actually active. You never have to remember.

6. Community management. Comments answered, messages responded to, and enquiries that arrive through social passed to you promptly rather than sitting unread for a week.

7. Monthly reporting. Reach, engagement, follower growth, link clicks and — where we can attribute it — enquiries generated. With a plain-English note on what performed and what we’re adjusting.

Where Organic Ends and Paid Begins

It’s worth being honest about this: organic reach on Facebook and Instagram is a fraction of what it was. Posting to your page reaches a small percentage of your own followers unless the post performs unusually well.

That doesn’t make organic social pointless — it’s still what makes your page credible when someone checks you out, and it’s what your paid ads point at. But if the goal is enquiries at volume, paid social does the heavy lifting.

We run both together: organic to build credibility and give the algorithm something to work with, paid to reach people who’ve never heard of you and to retarget those who’ve already visited your site. Paid social sits within our PPC service and can be managed alongside your social media as one engagement.

Social That Sounds Like Your Business

The most common complaint about outsourced social media is that it sounds like nobody who works there wrote it — generic captions, stock photos, a tone that could belong to any business in any industry.

We spend time up front on how your business actually speaks, and we work from your real material: your jobs, your team, your customers. The result should be recognisably yours, just more consistent than you’d manage while running the business.

A genuine understanding of multicultural Australia. Through leadership roles with the Ethnic Communities Council Queensland and the Australia India Business Council, we’ve spent years working across Australia’s diverse business communities.

If your customers span more than one community, that matters. Content that lands in one community can read as tone-deaf in another, and cultural moments that represent significant commercial opportunities — Diwali, Lunar New Year, Eid — pass most agencies by entirely. We know how to build a calendar that includes them, properly, rather than as an afterthought.

Social Media Questions

How often should we be posting?

For most small businesses, three to five quality posts a week per platform, plus stories where relevant. Consistency matters considerably more than volume — three good posts a week indefinitely beats daily posting for a month and then nothing.

Do you need photos and videos from us?

Some, yes. The most effective content is real footage of your actual work, team and customers — it consistently outperforms stock imagery. We'll show you what to capture on your phone and how, and we handle the editing and design from there.

Will I approve posts before they go out?

Yes. You get the monthly content calendar in advance and nothing publishes without your approval. Once trust is established, some clients prefer to hand over full control — that's your call.

Which platforms should my business be on?

Depends on where your customers are. We'll recommend based on your audience, not on which platforms we find easiest. Sometimes the honest answer is one platform, done properly.

How long before social media shows results?

Credibility improves immediately — a well-maintained page does its job from the first month. Audience growth and engagement build over three to six months. Direct enquiries depend heavily on your industry.
